Calla Lily

While visually stunning and elegant, this beautiful flower is actually a member the poisonous species, Zantedeschia. All parts of the plant are highly toxic, with the capability to kill livestock and children if ingested.

Cherry Blossom

The unofficial flower of Japan, the spectacular display of blossoms that arrive in the spring are celebrated by festivals both in Japan and the U.S. The most popular colors are white and pink. They are beautiful while on the trees and remain a stunning sight even after carpeting the ground.

Bleeding Heart

These whimsical, almost fairy-like blossoms are a traditional favorite in shady gardens. The flowers are either red, pink or white and appear in April-June

MOST BEAUTIFUL BEACH

The Seagaia Ocean Dome is the world's largest indoor waterpark, located in Miyazaki, Miyazaki, Japan. The Ocean Dome, which is a part of the Sheraton Seagaia Resort, measures 300 metres in length and 100 metres in width, and is listed on the Guinness World Records. It opened in 1993, and visitor numbers peaked in 1995 at 1.25 million a year.
The Ocean Dome sports a fake flame-spitting volcano, artificial sand and the world's largest retractable roof, which provids a permanently blue sky even on a rainy day. The air temperature is always held at around 30 degrees celsius and the water at around 28.

Bangkok

Wherever you go as a rich westerner, you are the target of scams and schemes. If you wonder if you qualify as a "rich westerner", if you can afford a ticket to Thailand, you qualify. I got myself involved in quite an elaborate one by taking a tuk tuk to visit a buddhist temple.
First, a guy on the street told me that the temple was closed that day due to a buddhist religious holiday. I had heard that there is a holiday coming up from other sources, so this didn't surprise me, and it was Sunday anyway, and a lot of things were closed (I didn't know Sunday was a Buddhist holy day too... maybe it isn't.) He suggested I visit the "lucky Buddha" temple instead. Travel Tip: If anyone says the words "lucky Buddha" to you in any context, just leave. There's even a sign at the grand palace that tells people to avoid the "lucky buddha" scam, which I thought had something to do with selling souvenirs.

this city is really most beautiful

I think these photo sum up the extreme diversity in landscape - it truly was surreal!

From Skagway to the Yukon

Skagway is a tiny town with a year round population of about 700 people. In the summer months between cruise ship employees, tourists, and local seasonal residents the number of people milling about the city can reach 20,000. The town itself stretches about four by twenty street blocks and the majority of the city center sits on a narrow strip of eight blocks. On this particular day our cruise ship was the only ship in port and the town felt like an abandoned ghost town. With so little to do in the city center, most cruise passengers partake in guided excursions, which is how we spent our day in Skagway.

Rwandan beauty

Rwanda is beautiful. There is no doubt about it. And whilst so far i would say that Burundi has the upper hand, Rwanda is not far behind at all, something that might come a a surprise to all those whose only knowledge of Rwanda is solely its horrific civil war fought in the early 1990's, and particularly the genocide atrocities of 1994. Paul Kagale seems to have done a very good job in rebuilding, reuniting and modernising this small country that suffered so much, and the people seem to be very positive for the future: Rwanda certainly seems very well placed. Interestingly though, Burundians that i talked to were a lot more pessimistic about Rwanda's future (expecting another civil war, probably sooner rather than later) than there own, despite the fact that their own horrific civil war – which receive significantly less attention in the west - lasted longer and ended much more recently.

The Grand Canyon, United States

Native Americans built settlements in the caves within the canyon before the emigration of Europeans. It was also considered to be a site of pilgrimage by the Pueblo people. The first recorded visit to the Grand Canyon by the Europeans was in 1869. Although, it is not the deepest canyon in the world, it is known for its extremely huge size and beautifully intricate landscape. The Grand Canyon National Park is said to be one of the first National Parks in the United States and attracts more than five million visitors a year. Weather conditions in the Grand Canyon vary a great deal between seasons as well as elevation. While winter snow is experienced by the higher elevated forested rims, the inner gorge has a desert temperature because of the low elevation.

Seeds also passed hands between Botanists in Europe that traded with them in the 1800’s

World’s most beautiful places

Five thousand years ago, on the banks of River Nile, a wonderful civilization was born. It flourished and evolved for three thousand years, longer than any civilization in the world’s history. Egypt’s history begins three thousand years ago, when Egyptian writing evolved enough to be able to record it. In the same period, King Menes the pharaoh united Lower and Upper Egypt into a single kingdom. He built two capital cities, one in the north and one in the south - Memphis and Abydos. Egyptians believed that pharaohs were gods. The most revered and adored god being Ra, the Sun God, the pharaoh was the only one that helped the Sun rise every day, and the Nile flood every summer. He would make offerings of food and water, and in exchange the souls of the Egyptians were fed by the gods after death.
